Chapter 4: Living with grief

Introduction

I try to take each day as it comes. Some days are easier, some days are harder. It might sound cliché but it’s the way that has worked for me. Day by day. Week by week. Year by year.

When you are grieving, rebuilding a life without the physical presence of the person who died can feel difficult and may take time. Living with this grief can mean living with changes that require adjustment to everyday life and over time. Special occasions and milestones can be reminders of your loss and also a chance to remember the person who died.
