After all these years, I still have pain in my heart. I still remember him and that’s fine.

Although your grief may lessen in intensity over time, it may never be entirely gone. There are often a few twists and turns, and sometimes some surprises; but at some point, you will likely begin to notice changes in your grief.

As you are grieving the death of your friend, you may be wondering about your life without them. Your friend is physically gone, but your memories and feelings remain. As you grieve what has been lost, you may also discover ways to carry parts of your friend and your friendship forward in your life.
