Chapter 1: Triggers of grief
Introduction
Even small things can trigger a strong wave of grief after the death of someone important to you. Triggers can be sights, sounds, smells, objects, events, places or people. You may not always know what has set off your grief.
You might feel disoriented, overwhelmed by emotion or worried about what the trigger means.
This chapter will talk about five common situations that can trigger waves of grief, then will suggest ways to cope with them.
