Chapter 3: Living without my spouse or partner
Going out alone
You might dread being the only single person at a family dinner or party. Learning a new way of socializing can be very demanding, especially when events that once energized you now exhaust you. The first time you go out alone after the death of your partner will be the hardest. Despite this fear, it is important to eventually push yourself. Although you might feel very anxious, many find that once they arrive at an event, it gets easier.
