Chapter 2: Stuck in grief
Actions that keep you stuck
Sometimes what we do keeps us stuck. For example, we may hold on to all of the person's belongings. A job may be lost because of frequent visits to the cemetery during work hours.
While these behaviours can be comforting in the short-term, we risk becoming stuck when we delay the task of letting go.
|Actions that keep you stuck||Actions that move you forward|
|Spending hours on the couch watching TV.||Exercising regularly.|
|Spending hours and hours over many days looking at old pictures.||Spending time with friends and family.|
|Saying no to new opportunities in life that may present themselves.||Saying yes to invitations and trying new things.|
