Chapter 5: Is there a right way to grieve?
- There is no "normal" or "right" way to grieve for the death of someone close. You will grieve differently than your friends and family.
- Grief looks and feels different to each person. Grief can affect your thoughts, emotions, behaviour, and body in many ways.
- People react differently to death for many reasons. Understanding these reasons can help you to appreciate your own reactions and to accept the various ways those around you express their grief.
- There are many myths about healthy and unhealthy ways of grieving. None of these are true.
