Chapter 3: I need some help

Key ideas

  • Caring for a dying person can be physically and emotionally draining. It is important to make your own physical and emotional health a priority.
  • Asking for help or accepting help may be difficult, but it is necessary when you are looking after someone who is dying.
  • If you are feeling overwhelmed, you might benefit from talking with a mental health professional or a faith-based spiritual care worker.
